So we have been busy fixing up the house and I wanted to post some before and after pictures. And just in case you find them boring. Here are some cute pictures of my kids.

Before: Awesome Orange wall! But a bit boring.
After: I put green plants above the cabinets. They match the counter tops and look nice. By the way: I moved from a tiny apartment with no cabinet space to too much cabinet space. I have two whole bottom cabinets that the kids "hide" in because they are empty.
Before: Knobs were black didn't mach any other hardware in the house, and they were all bent and loose.
After: Dave installed these sturdy knobs that match and look SO much better.

After: Dave, my electrician, installed a cute new chandelier that matches-

I bought storage shelves off of craigslist (I LOVE CRAIGSLIST) to the hide all the toys.
Painted Lily's pad purple and made drapes. Yes I know they are not even. I'm gonna fix that- sometime...
Painted Jensen's room an awesome blue and made drapes. We are going to decorate his room pirate- so it is supposed to be the ocean color:)
Didn't do much in the living room, but I love the couch cover my mom made for us.
I'm going to do something about the mismatched bookcases, just not sure what yet

Dan your house is looking so awesome. Isn't it fun to finally be able to do stuff to it? I love the colors and great ideas. I have a paint question so I will be calling you soon....
The couch cover looks great! And uneven curtains....what does that remind me of? OH! I know! That would be the uneven pockets you put on one of my skirts! :) Ha! I love you!
It looks amazing, isn't it crazy what a little paint and new fixtures can do to a place? Love it! And yes, your kids are quite adorable for sure!

Your house is so cute- I love your hardwood floors.I am coveting them right now.We have a little house in Castle Rock. Your kids are so cute. I am so glad I could see you and your cute kids and now be able to keeop in touch!

Wow! so much to say! LOVE the green plants in the kitchen, the chandelier is so cute! I'm sooo glad you painted lilys room purple, it looks so good. I love the ocean room- that will be so fun to decorate. I'm sooo jealous- I can't wait to move again so I can decorate! Good job Dan and good taste.
Dan! That looks so great! I'm excited to come see it in person soon. You've already done way more than I've been motivated to do and I've lived in my place for 4.5 years! :( Sad. But yay for you!

Isn't it fun to have your own place. Danica has tools like a paint brush and Dave gets to use his checkbook.

Congrats on the new house!!! That's so exciting. Lily and Jensen look so much bigger all ready...especially Lily, she'll be walking in no time!
