Happy Birthday Lily!

Monday was Lily's birthday. We got together at my parents house and had cake and sang.

She is just too cute.

Really what is a one year old gonna do with something new? Try and touch it:)

All Things Trains!
Jensen loves trains. I mean he adores them. When we sing the wheels on the bus - "the Jensen on the bus says' I Like trains." This kid can't go to bed at night without us reading his train books and he will drive his trains around on his bed until he passes out gazing lovingly at the little engines. So when we found out the Colorado Railway museum brings in a very special guest once a year we knew we had to go see Thomas the train:)


Here the little tyke is with his tank engine backpack and cup. He had a couple of his favorite trains in his bag.

As you go through these pictures you may notice this look on almost all of them. It is the "Where I am is pretty awesome but have you noticed we are surrounded by trains?" look. I don't think he blinked for three hours.

He stamped as many train faces on himself as he could. Right before falling asleep last night I had to say goodnight to the engine stamped on his tummy.Grandma caved in a bought him the t-shirt and hat.

She turns one tomorrow. Happy Birthday Lily! She says mom, dad, down, and up. She by far uses "up" most often. It usually gets her what she wants- to be held.:) She was pretty tired.

SEPTEMBER IS HERE!
It is pretty crazy to me that it is 2008- let alone it is September of '08. Things just pass by so quickly. We went up to Breckenridge over Labor day. It was really nice to get away. Best part was we stayed at the hotel for free because it was one of those condo pitches. We sat down with the sales guy for a total of five minutes before he said "Well I can't really help you- lets see if we can get you out of here." AND my parents watched the kids for one night so Dave and I could celebrate our 3rd anniversary.

We went to a children's museum. It was a ton of fun. Lily loved all the stuffed animals- she kept trying to wrestle them- a skill she learned from her brother.

Of course Jensen was drawn to the many "boy" toys he went for the tools the trains and the tractors.


There was a cute bear cave. Lily loved hugging all the teddy bears. Jensen wrestled hugged and kicked them.

Jensen got to be a monkey and jump on a blowup play house. I had to drag him out.

We went on a beautiful little walk. I LOVE GARAGE SALES! We got the baby backpack for $15. Lily rode in luxury. This is Lake Dillon. So pretty.

Last weekend we went to Chatfield reservoir to show our love of this country and voice our opinions. Americans for prosperity.org Yeah for Drilling!
Dave thought the ATM station was pretty funny.

My BABY is Walking!

We have a ton to blog on!

First Lily is walking. She is 10 1/2 months old and she is getting around pretty well. She definently has the drunken sailor swagger down. SO cute!

Dave went out of town for a week to Houston-Here is him telling his story-

We celebrated the games in China by how else? We ate Panda Express had sparkling Cider and....

Watched the opening of the games on my parents huge HD screen. I love the Olympics! Olive hands:)

So I left for Houston on Saturday and was there till last Friday. We were supposed to visit some off shore rigs but TROPICAL STORM EDUARD has something to say about that. Becuase apparently its not safe to fly a helicopter into a tropical storm we visited some land rigs, which needless to say is boring for me after mudlogging for 4 months.

The food was good this is the Louisiana man who cooked our food. He had the accent to go with the spices. To paint a picture of the food; the potatoe salad was 3 to 1 favoring egg over salad. There were hot links and some kind of spice steak. Finally the meal was finished off with chocalate cake.

Me before our final dinner at The Houston Space Center. When I got to the Space center what is the first thing I see? R2-Freaking-D2. I knew this stuff was real, NASA says so.

This R2 unit was attached to a jedi starfighter. Sadly there was no Hyper ring to reach faster than light speeds.This is one of the old space shuttles......before we upgraded to star fighters.

Lastly the final dinner at the Space Center. In the middle are the chocolate booster rockets filled with creme with a strawberry next to it. The main meal was a piece of chicken with a piece of cake on a bed of wild rice with aspargus between. I traded my chick for more steak.

GWABY!

Just some fun phrases Jensen has been saying. Tonight he demanded more gravy on his meat and potatoes, by emphatically demanding- GWABY!

He has always had a hard time going to bed the other night he tried to pursuade Dave to stay in his room a little longer by growling, and saying in every silly little voice he knows. "Read book!"

We were at Chick-Fil-a. When the play are had emptied out of other kids I told him "There are no more kids to play with- it is time to go home." He responded by opening up the door to the dinning area and demanding all the people eating "KIDS PLAY!" He repeated it several times. A couple of the kids actually came in to play with him.

We went on a little hike and Jensen exhibited is independance. He had to walk a long ways back from us just so he could pump his cute little legs and catch up with us.
